Holy & Sacred Books
Collection
Holy Books or Sacred Books (or Religious texts) are the texts which various religious traditions consider to be sacred, or central to their religious tradition. They may be used to evoke a deeper connection with the divine, convey spiritual truths, promote mystical experience, foster communal identity, and to guide individual and communal spiritual practice. Many religions and spiritual movements believe that their sacred texts are divinely or supernaturally revealed or inspired. Most of religion think that the Holy Books can ward off spiritual and physical dangers, especially those related to evil, poison, and temptation. The museum displays around hundred holy books dating from 18th to 20th century.
