TOP MOST ATTRACTIVE LITHOTHERAPY CRYSTALS IN MUSEUM
Lithotherapy has been used for a long time throughout history. The belief in healing effect of stones would go back to Prehistoric Times when people believed minerals could increase their power, their fertility and protect them as well. But three thousand years B.C. the symbolism of stones was mainly organized by the Egyptians. In the Middle Ages they were used daily in China, in India but also in France. In Mesopotamia, Nippur's stones tell us about the use of stones, as well as the use of plants in traditional medicine. One can see the same traditions in the Egyptian civilization, or Hebrews, Greeks, Aztecs, Japanese, Indians or Chinese. In 1644, the emperor Rudolph II's doctor, Anselme Boèce de boot, published a 750 pages book called "The perfect Jeweler or history of stones". He talks about the healing properties of stones among other topics. In 1748, "The Drugs Encyclopedia of Mr Lemery" which was written by Louis the 14's doctor, shares also about the virtues of stones. Mister Guibourt, who was a Professeur in the Ecole Superieure de Pharmacie in Paris (1869), published "History of simple drugs" in 3 volumes, which 1st volume is dedicated to minerals. Today lithotherapy is integrated among energetic therapies. It arouses increasing interest mingled with skepticism and cynicism. This science is a mix of old traditions using stones (reiki in Japan or fengshui in China) and chromotherapy (or the use of stone colors to cure the mind and the body) and homeopathy and "electro-magnetic" healing. Lithotherapy considers the fact that stones naturally communicate a very particular vibe that is able to improve the well being of a person when he or she is close to a particular stone.
Quartz Crystal Healing
Collection
Collection
Ordinary yet extraordinary, colorful and clear, Quartz crystals are the most common and abundant in the world, comprising the largest and most diverse family in the mineral kingdom. Throughout history, Clear Quartz has been valued by nearly every civilization as far back as Atlantis and Lemuria, where the sun's power was believed to be harnessed through a crystal as a source of solar energy refraction. They, along with Native American Indians, African tribes, ancient Egyptians, Aztecs, Romans, Scots and countless other cultures used Clear Quartz in diagnostic healing, meditations and spiritual development, as religious objects and in funerary rites, and to dispel evil and magical enchantments. It's the most important crystals healing in lithotherapy. "From ancient times to the present day, quartz crystals have been a source of Light to mankind. Highly valued by spiritual leaders and healers as well as scientists, the unique attributes of quartz have played a key role in mankind' evolutionary development." (Baer, R, "Windows of Light" preface). Around 100 piece with different form of crystals (agate, aventurine, citrine, amethyst, rose quartz...) are displayed in the museum.

Fluorescent Minerals
Collection
Collection
Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. It is a form of luminescence. Fluorescent minerals, when illuminated with only ultraviolet (UV) light (invisible to the human eye) will emit visible light and appear to glow in the dark. The color change of fluorescent minerals is most spectacular when they are illuminated in darkness by ultraviolet light (which is not visible to humans) and they release visible light. These minerals represent the most important material for "electro-magnetic" healing in lithotherapy. The museum displays around 30 pieces of fluorescent stones.

Meteorite Healing
Collection
Collection
It’s remarkable to us today that the origin of meteorites was, for a very long time, a source of uncertainty, debate and hostility: variously believed to be messengers from the gods. Meteorite falls may have been the source of cultish worship. The cult in the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, possibly originated with the observation of a meteorite fall that was understood by contemporaries to have fallen to the earth from the abode of deities. When Mohammed, with his intense iconoclasm, came down upon Mecca and took the sacred city, he pared the ancient worship of this black stone. Entering into the sacred enclosure, he made the sevenfold circuit of the temple court, returned and kissed the stone, and then entered the building and destroyed the 360 idols within it. Today that stone is the most sacred jewel of Islam in Mecca. Many legend about the meteorite make it become a important healing method. Museum displays around dozens of meteorite for healing.

Fossils Healing
Collection
Collection
Many early explanations relied on folktales or mythologies. In China the fossil bones of ancient mammals including Homo erectus were often mistaken for "dragon bones" and used as medicine and aphrodisiacs. In the West fossilized sea creatures on mountainsides were seen as proof of the biblical deluge. In 1027, the Persian Avicenna explained fossils in The Book of Healing. In 1665 Athanasius Kircher attributed giant bones to extinct races of giant humans in his Mundus subterraneus. Based on the pagan faith, many authors continue to believe that the fossils can be used for healing purpose. The museum displays around hundred fossils from France, Germany, Maroc, Liban, and Vietnam.

Gemstones Healing
Collection
Collection
A gemstone or gem (also called a fine gem, jewel, or a precious or semi-precious stone) is a piece of mineral crystal, which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewelry or other adornments. Certain rocks (such as lapis lazuli) or organic materials that are not minerals (such as amber or jet), are also used for jewelry, and are therefore often considered to be gemstones as well. Lithotherapy considers the fact that stones naturally communicate a very particular vibe that is able to improve the well being of a person when he or she is close to a particular stone. The most popular method is wearing gemstones (on pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings...).
