Charm stones is different from amulets and talismans. Amulets and talismans are the magic objects made by man, while charm stones are totally natural. Charm stones are always the primitive natural rocks or minerals used as a magic objects, instead of the complex artificial objects like amulets and talismans.

Asian Charmstones
Collection
The most famous of Asian charmstones have the legend from Buddhism, or Taoist. But the majority of charmstones are from the ethnic group, and are mostly unknown in the world. The museum displays around dozens of Asian charmstones from China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, India, Japan and Thailand.

Shiva Stone, India, These stones come from only one place, the Narmada River in Western India, one of India's most holy sites. The villagers gather the stones from the river and hand polish them so that they are a smooth rounded shape. The word 'Lingum' comes from the Sanskrit word for symbol, as these stones are a symbol of Lord Shiva. These stones are an integral part of their worship practices, and have been for hundreds of years. In the mineralogy, Shiva stone is a type of chert/flirt or jasper.

Lama Stone or Dzi bead, from Tibetian. Dzi bead (Tib. གཟི།) is a type of stone bead of uncertain origin worn as part of a necklace and sometimes as a bracelet. In several Asian cultures, including that of Tibet, the bead is considered to provide positive spiritual benefit. Some dzi exhibit grinding and polishing of one or both ends, again the result of reduction for use in traditional Tibetan medicine or, in some cases, due to the bead's use as a burnishing tool in the application of gold leaf to thanka paintings or gilt bronze statuary. The most highly prized dzi beads are those of ancient age, made of natural agate. The original source of these beads is a mystery. Dzi stones made their first appearance between 2000 and 1000 BC, in ancient India: a few hundred thousand were supposedly brought back by Tibetan soldiers from Persia or ancient Tajikistan during a raid. The malicious effect of the “evil eye” was taken very seriously by these people. Dzi were considered to counteract the evil eye. The artisans who made the dzi created amulets with “eyes” on them as a “fight fire with fire” form of protection. In the mineralogy, Dzi is a type of banded agate or onyx.

Lek Lai, or Lek Laï is a Mysterious Sacred substance which is the subject of Legendary Tales of Miracle Powers which has become a Cult Phenomenon. Although this amazing substance is known about and exists an many different World Cultures and different countries, Lek Lai has come to be known very much as a Phenomenon coming from Thailand. In the Thai legend, Lek Lai is a metallic element with a life of its own. It is also Karmic effect of Spirits which have been driven by the winds of karma to be reborn in Samsara in the form of metallic elemental substances, and is subject to having to eat (honey) and excrete (Khee Lek Lai) residue. The Lek Lai is considered a living being of the Deva classification (Angelic Deity). A Deva that has been driven to be born on Earth. There are both ‘Kon Tan’ and Yaksa type Devas found inhabiting Lek Lai, which gives each different Lek Lai its own special powers and properties which differ with each inhabiting Deva. Lek Lai is something which will protect who carries it from guns or sharp objects (such as knife or sword), and all other harmful weapons. Some people believe that Lek Lai is indestructible and immortal (Adamantine). In the mineralogy, Lek Lai is a kind of goetite or hematite with botryoidal or globular form.

Apache Tears, is the rounded pebbles of obsidian or "obsidianites" composed of black or dark-colored natural volcanic glass, only be found in Arizona State of the United States. The name "Apache tear" comes from a legend of the Apache tribe: about 75 Apaches and the US Cavalry fought on a mountain overlooking what is now Superior, Arizona in the 1870s. Facing defeat, the outnumbered Apache warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their deaths rather than be killed.
